Community Outreach

St. Mark is blessed with friendly, caring members who have a passion for reaching out to others in faith and support. Our outreach efforts have included the following:

  • Clothing Box (St. Pauly) is a drop site for clothing & other goods for global distribution
  • Community Lutheran Ministries – Rochester, NY
  • Operation Christmas Child

We make connections with others, building and strengthening relationships through service projects and social events.

Fellowship and Community Service

There are a variety of ways to serve while connecting and build relationships with new friends. Our Ladies’ Aid hosts regular events such as our pound auction and Ladies’ Night Out, while men enjoy an annual night at the Rochester Red Wings, property maintenance and working together on mowing teams for the church.  Our Grief Ministry supports those who have lost a loved one by sending a series of personal letters and Journeying Through Grief resources; additionally, we have hosted special workshops and provided referrals to GriefShare support groups. Our Pizza Booth at the Mendon Firemen’s Carnival is a great fellowship and a chance to be the positive face of our church.  During the seasons of Advent (December) and Lent (early spring), we enjoy midweek dinners and devotions together.

Sharing and Caring

Sharing the good news of Jesus Christ and sharing His love with others is our primary mission. We try to do this with our words and our actions. Contacting members on a monthly basis, visiting home-bound members or those in senior communities, supporting local and world mission projects, a St. Pauly Clothing drop box, and sending care packages for college kids are just a few of the ways we share and care. We welcome you to join us at St. Mark in sharing and caring for others.
